BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author's first name and surname: Anna Chmelařová Bachelor thesis supervizor: MUDr. Petra Sládková, Ph.D. Oponent: Title of bachelor thesis: Options of Physiotherapy Approaches for Patients with Vertebral Algic Syndrome of Lumbar Spine using ICF Core Set Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with options of physiotherapy approaches for patients with vertebral algic syndrome of lumbar spine as well as with the clinical appliacation of the International classification of functioning, disability and health (ICF) using the Brief ICF Core Set for Low Back Pain. This thesis contains of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part includes variety of causes of vertebral algic syndrome, basic information about epidemiology, etiology and time duration. Options of physiotherapy approaches which were used for patients chosen for this thesis are also described. Furthermore, the thesis uses the characteristic of the ICF and describes the Brief ICF Core Set for Low Back Pain, including the ratings of validity of this Core Set by two chosen studies. The practical part offers an overview of methodology of this thesis, in particular the data collection methods, patient selection, goals and assumptions of this thesis. It also contains case reports of three chosen patients inluding the Brief...
Influence of walking disorder on possibilites of activities in patients with Multiple sclerosis
Hendrychová, Jiřina ; Novotná, Klára (advisor) ; Kövári, Martina (referee)
The thesis deals with negative effect of gait impairment in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) on activities of everyday life (work activities, social activities, personal activities). First part of thesis (theoretical) describes multiple sclerosis disease with typical syndromes and treatment options (especially rehabilitation treatment options). This part also contains description of International Classification of Function, Disability and Health (ICF) as a new tool for rehabilitation assessment. Then process of ICF of evaluation of ICF in relation to MS is mentioned. Second practical part of thesis contains subjective evaluation of activities (using questionnaire) and objective gait performance assessments (Timed 25 foot walk test, The 2 minute walk test) in group of 156 people with MS. Results of all assessments are described and in discussion compared with similar foreign studies. Discussion part includes recommendation on how these results can influence rehabilitation process in people with MS. Practical part of thesis is illustrated by a case study describing one of MS patients.

Practical application of ICF
SVĚCENÁ, Kateřina
The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) is a tool that could help improve the coordination between health and social services. This classification will help with communication as a common language in interprofessional rehabilitation team. The research objective of our thesis is to investigate the practical applicability of ICF in health and social services in the field of regulations governing entitlement to "special aids", i.e. Act No. 329/2011 and Decree No. 388/2011, as amended.

POSSIBILITIES OF USING THE INTERNATIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF FUNCTIONING, DISABILITY AND HEALTH IN PHYSIOTHERAPY
DRÁBOVÁ, Zuzana
At present, when an international communication across health systems is quite common, there is a growing need to establish a common language which could be used for an expert´s communications from different countries and disciplines. A uniform language for encoding a wide range of information is provided by classifications that belong to a Family of International Classifications of World Health Organization (WHO-FIC). International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) was officially approved in 2001 and it forms and a conceptual framework for describing the disability. In the Czech Republic the Communication No. 431/2009 Coll. came into effect from 1 July 2010; it introduces ICF classification into a clinical practice. The physiotherapy is a part of the comprehensive rehabilitation system and people with the disability form a target group of patients for this field of specialization. We use many specific methods to examine motion systems and all his parts, the most of them are subjective. Still, we must find a way how to code the information obtained during the examination under a single scheme and the universal language given by ICF. This thesis demonstrate an importance of ICF classification and it could be a suggestion how to use the classification for an evaluation of the patient´s functional status by selected examination methods in an everyday practice of physiotherapists.
